About CrossRoads Baptist Church
CrossRoads Baptist Church is a Baptist Congregation located in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Our Mission is simple: “To know God, worship Him, progress in Christ-likeness, and represent Him in everyday living. We desire to see people in our communities respond to the gospel, mature in Christ, and become equipped for a Christ-centered productive life and ministry.” We believe that God’s Word is inerrant, and operate accordingly.

Our Worship is a blended worship that is heartfelt and ministers the soul’s of all who worship with us. Our central goal in worship is to know and honor the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ. In worship we seek to stamp the image of Christ upon all who worship with us so that we will leave with the heart, mind and will of Christ in us and strive to reach the world that Christ loves all around us. We desire to be:
A Great Commission Church
with a
Great Commandment Love!
In the case of our children, who are a reward given us by our Lord, and who are our future and legacy. I dream of a Hannah Spiritual Development Day Care Center that not only takes care of our infants and toddlers physically and educationally (in a preschool sense), but endeavors to pour spiritual life into our Children the way Hannah poured spiritual life into Samuel, and the way Moses’ mother poured spiritual life into Moses. Before they both reached four or five years of age, these women of vision laid a foundation for Moses and Samuel that carried them through the rest of their lives, even after they were separated from their families and placed in settings that were contrary to their spiritual development. We can, and must, work with the youngest members of our Church in such a way that they are purposefully nurtured to know, honor, and serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. This includes athletics, which are a healthy part of each child’s development; however, athletics in our day have become detrimental to a child’s spiritual development in that they are placing themselves above the Church and God. Therefore, we need to grow our Church and build the type of facilities that will allow us to establish our own competitive athletic leagues that will not interfere with Church and will require biblical devotions for participation. Sports of almost all types are fun and challenging. There is no reason why athletics can not forward the cause of Christ by honoring God and His Church. Our athletics should incorporate adult and children sports programs.
In the case of education, we must endeavor to have our Children taught by men and women of God who believe that the Bible is God’s inerrant and authoritative Word. People who know that Jesus was crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, and is alive today. People who are looking for the soon coming of our Savior to rapture His Church, prior to the tribulation period, and the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. Therefore, I dream of a Church that will establish a school that will teach our children throughout their elementary, middle, high school, college, and seminary years.
In the case of new and experienced Christians, we will endeavor to win lost souls to our Lord, Jesus Christ, and then disciple them through worship, fellowship, mentoring, and training, so that they can be and experience all that our Heavenly Father has planned for them. This Christian journey is meant to be full of life, God wants living sacrifices, not dead sacrifices, and our Church wants to help you experience the abounding life that Christ gives. We will accomplish this by teaching you the dynamic and living Word of God, and then equipping you to use the spiritual gifts God has given you to fulfill God plan and purpose for your life. We want our members to be used by our Lord in Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry, Missions, and Prayer as a part of the Body of Jesus Christ; which is the Church. We understand that there is a spiritual battle raging all about us. We have an enemy that will not relent. Living the Christian life can be a struggle, but in the midst of its struggles and challenges there is unspeakable joy and fulfilling contentment. Why? Because, we are more than victors through our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the Church is meant to bring you into His victory by bringing you into His presence.
A people without a vision will soon perish. This is our vision! This is our dream
